Reiki is given fully clothed in a quiet environment and is safe for adults, children, mothers–to–be, babies and animals. Reiki practitioners must not diagnose the health problem. It is highly recommended that Reiki practitioners are members of a recognised professional organisation with strict Codes of Ethics and hold practitioners insurance.
What happens in a Reiki session?
Reiki is a beautiful energy to work with and for you as a client to receive.
Prior to you receiving a Reiki treatment, we go through a brief consultation, where I find out if there are any specific areas you wish to focus on. This enables me to ensure the treatment you receive is specific to your individual requirements and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions. This can be done via telephone, email or in person if you prefer.
On the day of your treatment, I suggest you dress in whatever you feel comfortable in.
No clothing is removed during Reiki.
The treatment bed is set up with pillow and blanket for your comfort.
During a Reiki treatment people can feel many different things. Some people do not feel anything at all and this is perfectly natural. However, some of the sensations you may experience include, warmth or heat, cold or tingling and it is not uncommon for a person to fall asleep during their treatment.
A Reiki treatment can be performed for 15 - 60 minutes.
